Deionised (DI) or Demineralised (Demin) water systems use resin technology to remove dissolved ions from water, producing a consistently high-purity supply. Standard DI systems typically achieve less than 5 µS, while mixed bed systems can reach 0.5 µS for polishing applications. By operating as a closed loop, these systems recirculate water to reduce waste, lower operating costs, extend the life of chemical processing solutions, ensure a quality finish and meet warranty applicator standards. In service, ion exchange resins gradually lose capacity as they remove dissolved salts and other ions from the water. Over time, this ion loading leads to exhaustion of the resin and a noticeable decline in water quality. Our regeneration process fully restores exhausted resin to its original ionic form by rinsing it with a concentrated regenerant solution. This process effectively displaces the accumulated ions, flushes them away, and reconditions the resin structure—returning it to optimal performance and preparing it for a new, efficient service cycle.
